Join us for a beginner's class to explore the special quality of watercolors. We will enjoy the process and learn essential watercolor techniques as we paint. Materials are provided but feel free to bring your preferred paint, paper or brushes.

We will chat while we sip and enjoy a variety of teas. We will learn HOW to make a good cup of tea a few different ways, as well as WHY we might use a particular herb. We will discuss how to combine herbs to be both delicious & healthy and how to support your health by supporting a specific system of the body (heart, nervous, digestive, etc.).

Join us to learn the process of weaving yarns on a cardboard loom to create a small wall hanging. We will create our looms and then learn how to start to weave, change yarns and and how to doodle weave for a more free form weaving. We will have yarn to choose from but if you have a skein or two you've been wondering what to do with, feel free to bring them. You can also bring a branch or a piece of driftwood (about 12"?) to hang your wall hanging from or you can do that after you have finished it and brought it home.

We will meet at the RHO Building(5 Clubhouse Ln, Stony Point), located near the Patriot Hills Golf Course, from 10am-4:30pm with a half hour lunch break so pleasebring something to eat and a water bottle. Light refreshments will be served in the morning.
Participants
must register in advance to HOLD their spot, and payment must be received at least ONE WEEK prior to the class in order to secure it.

Join us to learn the easy process of turning old papers (and other things!) into treasured handmade papers. We will learn different methods, add color & imbed various embellishments into the paper (other papers, metallic foil, botanicals, string, etc.). Everyone will get a chance to create at least 1 paper.

Join us to learn a few fundamentals of photography and how your digital camera works. You can bring any kind of digital camera, from the latest DSLR to a point & shoot, or even your smart phone! This will take place outdoors under the pavilion at Vincent Clark Park. We will spend the first half hour learning about how cameras work and what makes a good photograph. Then we will wander the park for a photo scavenger hunt and finally come back together and view everyone's photos!
Because this is an outdoor program, the rain date will be the following Monday, April 24th, 1-3pm.
